Abu Road and Mount Abu: Cool Destinations of Rajasthan


RIICO Commercial Place situated in this town extends over 2000 miles. The main products found in RIICO are stone, marble, vegetation, luggage, wools, nutrient cultivation, materials and insulators. The Diesel Shed of Indian Railways located in this city offers job to lots of individuals and is one of the main sources of town’s economic system. Other main tourist destinations of Abu Road are Brahma Kumaris Globe Religious School, Chandravati, Garasia Towns, Jirawala, Bhadrakali Forehead, Varman, Ambaji, Mount Abu, Mungathala, Gandhi Recreation area and Pawa Puri.

It has five temples of Vimal Vasahi, Luna Vasahi, Pithalhar, Khartar Vasahi and Mahavir Swami. There is a holy well named Doodh Baori with milky colored water. Situated nearby the Sundown Factor, Shri Raghunathji Forehead, Toad Stone and the Maharaja Jaipur Building, there is a man-made lake named Nakki Pond. Madhuban, the head office of Globe Religious School, is placed in Mount Abu. Run by a renowned spiritual group named Brahma Kumaris, this school offers classes and special programs for students as well as other spiritual enthusiasts.

Abu Road is town located in the Sirohi region of Indian state of Rajasthan. It is placed at about 27 km south-east of Mount Abu. Formerly Abu Road was called as Kharadi. The
Mount Abu is a famous hill point. Close to Mount Abu, you will find some of the interesting sightseeing areas like Achalgarh, Expert Shikhar, Dilwara Wats, Adhar Devi
Mount Abu is located at a height of 1220 meters above sea level. This town was earlier referred as Arbudaanchal. Mount Abu is the only one hill station in Rajasthan. This town has a fine climate all around the year. Legends say that the saint Vasistha performed his last rituals and remained in the peaks of Mount Abu till his death after his differences with Sage Vishwamithra.

There is a small landing field set here for small airplanes and helicopters. The nearest domestic terminal is Udaipur which is about 135 km from the town. The closest international airport is at Ahmedabad (200 km from Abu Road). There is a railway station in Abu Road. February to July and September to December are best months to visit Abu Road and Mount Abu. There is also a good road network connecting Abu Road and Mount Abu. And hence reaching Abu Road from all parts of India is a fairly easy affair.
